Annette holds a degree in Journalism from San Jose State University, where she studied the art of writing for the masses while concurrently developing her own writer’s voice – one that is both crisply conversational and artfully creative. She is currently ghostwriting a spiritual memoir, as well as authoring her own book of short stories that confront that rapid identity development that can occur in early adulthood. She has ghostwritten academic articles and website content, and has authored in-depth reports for international media as well as national and local news.

 

Writing has taken Annette from her California Bay Area home to Dharamsala, India where she volunteered as the Tibetan Government in Exile's primary copy editor and English reporter in 2009. Her hunger for travel and cultural emersion lead Annette to a Buddhist monastery in Thailand where she documented a month spent in silence and meditation in 2007. While she is well-versed in writing styles and subjects, she finds herself especially drawn to projects that deal with the human experience, spirituality, and self-help.

 

Annette plays the fiddle, tap dances, and has a passion for international travel and world culture. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband, baby boy, and dog – Dave, Sam, and Rusty, respectively.
